Layers for a coast that cannot decide what season it is
BRIAN CLAY FERRINI began with a wardrobe problem that anyone living between the hills and the water knows: the morning needs a sleeve, the afternoon does not, and a jacket is too much for either.
So the shop keeps two things and does them properly. Long-sleeve shirts in cotton poplin, brushed flannel and a cotton-modal blend, all cut to the same shoulder line so they sit under a vest without bunching. And knitted vests with a deep armhole, made to be worn over those shirts from March to November.

Long-sleeve shirts with a clean placket and vests that sit over them without bulk, cut for the cool mornings and warm afternoons of the Central Coast. Each shirt is described by fabric weight, sleeve length and the exact body measurement across the chest, so the fit is known before the parcel arrives.
